Last Friday night I was fortunate to attend the Digital Parents Unplugged Event. It was awesome. I had a wonderful time meeting and catching up with just some brilliant people … that just happened to be other parent bloggers and interesting people in marketing/media. I just love events like this. I can’t talk for other people but I think that
So what was Digital Parents Unplugged?
Digital Parents Unplugged was the first of its kind held in Kings Cross Kit and Kaboodle Supper Club. Hosted by the Brenda Gaddi from Mother Media and Digital Parents, it was an opportunity for media/PR/marketing peeps to meet with bloggers to learn how we can develop better partnerships.
The evening opened with some socialising and before getting down to the detail … some speed introductions between the 2 key groups. Then it got down to some great discussion. Lucie Snape of Ogilvy360 did a wonderful job being the Oprah of the evening and co-ordinating between the blogger panelists Liss Klemke (Frills in the Hills), Caz Makepeace (Y Travel Blog and Mojito Mother) and Nicole Avery (Planning With Kids) and the blogger and media/pr/marketing audience members. The intimate setting created a great atmosphere and allowed for an open discussion and frank dialogue between the all sides.
Once the panel discussion was over, it was party time. It was great to just let my hair down, feel like a ‘typical’ adult and enjoy some great conversation with some really fantastic people.
So for this week’s grateful … I am grateful to all the hard work that Brenda Gaddi put into creating an awesome event that hope will be the first of many.
